Is it safe for a volleyball player to get a BBL?

Thank you for your question. On each surgery there is a healing process, since BBL procedure is affecting lower part of your body. You will be able to play after the healing process but for fat to survive, at least 6 to 8 weeks we don't recommend you to run or play volleyball. If you have more questions, feel free to ask.

Hello darling, Healing process it all depends on you, after you're totally heal yes you can play again, this procedure is totally safe but anyways run and continue playing it will makes that fat goes low and your going to loose the BBL Hope this helps and best of lucks. Dr. Luis Mejia.

you should be able to continue to play volleyball after BBL surgery. But every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

I usually ask my patients to wait from 4 to 6 weeks, depending upon how the healing goes. Healing should be far enough along to reduce the incidence of complications. I advocate continued exercise after a BBL as long as you do not lose body fat. Keep an eye on your weight, and decrease the amount of exercise as warranted. If you gain weight that is fat, some of the fat will likely be associated with the buttocks.Ask a trainer to recommend exercises to strengthen and stabilize your gluteal muscles. Try performing 10 sets of squeezing the butt muscles for 5-10 seconds at a time whether sitting or standing throughout the day to loosen tight muscles and also make them stronger.

Thank you very much for your question.It is a very common one and I shall provide an answer based on my personal experience: there are no scientific/published data to support any of this as yet.The discomfort after surgery is a consequence of residual swelling and scar formation. Both factors are common in patients with lower fitness levels and slow circulation (both vascular and lymphatic). The solution in this category of patients is to start lymphatic drainage massage one day before surgery and continue for 3-4 weeks after surgery. Then gentle manipulation of the treated area will also facilitate the reabsorption of the mood residual swelling and avoid formation of thick scars.In your case, as for all active aerobic performers, the problem should be minimal to start with: in order to reduce the risk to a minimum, I would suggest to arrange massages and compressions as above - and start arnica tablets 60C one day before your surgery.I hope this helps and I wish you the best of luck with your surgery.

Hello dear patient,Playing volleyball is a risky sport. Falling down to ground may hurt your surgery area. If you can have a break to playing volleyball, you can go back after 2 months by fat transfer.Running not gonna hurt you if the surgeon don't damage your nerves around surgery area. But if you choose butt implants, that means you need longer time to be healed. Best regards.
