Mentor Boost vs. Xtra implants, what’s the difference between these?

Different implant types can be quite confusing, but xtra is a mentor memory gel (their standard implant) overfilled with the same gel so the shell is more stretched out. This can decrease the rate of rippling and the implant will hold its shape a bit better. Boost is an upgrade compared to this as the shell is filled to the same degree as Xtra AND the gel is a different type. It is thicker and more cohesive, so the boost implants hold their shape even better than the xtra. Boost and xtra are often used to help prevent shell rippling in skinny patients or if the patient wants a lot of upper breast fullness. Some people also recommend using the for on top of the muscle augmentation because they will theoretically have less rippling.
