I have vertical wrinkles after neck lift. Will these issues resolve? (Photo)

I am four weeks after a neck lift, with sutures under the chin and in front and behind the ears. While I am happy with the sharpened jawline, I have some concerns. now that the swelling is resolving there are some crepey vertical wrinkles developing on my neck. There are also ridges on my neck where the drains had been. Will these issues resolve?

If the neck is oversuctioned from liposuction the neck can scar and form bands that tighten the neck too much and give it strange look.  This is called a cobra neck deformity, and it should not happen with properly performed liposuction of the neck.  Best, Dr. Emer.

The term  "lateral neck lift" can be used to describe re draping and excision of the neck skin along with tightening of the platysma muscle of the neck.  It is typically a more limited procedure than a facelift.
