Sculptra? Can this filler be used to enhance the butt cheeks? (photo)

Based on the photos you would be an ideal candidate for a Sculptra Butt Lift.  Typically 2 treatments 10 vials each spaced one month apart are required to see optimal results.  Although results are noticable, don't expect them to be as dramatic as BBL.  I use a more dilute Sculptra vs the face and have not had any issues with many happy patients.  I like to use a cannula for the procedure to minimize bruising and dowmtime with most patients resuming their normal activities the next day.

Sculptra is a wonderful way to reshape and contour the buttocks by adding volume. It's composed of poly-L-lactic acid microspheres that stimulate the production of new collagen. As the microspheres break down over time, they are replaced by the collagen to create long-lasting effects. You can expect your new shape to last up to two years.
Placed correctly, Sculptra can also give the buttocks a littlemodest lift and fullness. It is not intended to create a full Brazilian buttock, but it can definitely create a cute profile and shape to flatter buttocks. This procedure takes a great deal of expertise, as the filler must be placed precisely and a more dilute concentration is needed compared to the face to avoid complications. Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  Sculptra is an excellent option for treatment in the buttocks and lateral hips when a patient is not a candidate for fat transfer.  Injections are nearly painless and require a series of treatments over months but with results that last up to 2 years it is a good option for many.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for this question and your pictures. Depending on the amount of volume you desire, augmenting the "butt" area with a filler can be expensive due to the large amount of filler needed. Sculptra wouldn't be my first choice as it is not as much of a "volumizing" filler as is Voluma and often doesn't provide the lift desired. It would be best to evaluate you in person to best assess your needs as a 3 dimensional person rather than a picture. Remember, as you spend much time sitting down, this may shorten the longevity of the enhancement and may cause an asymmetry in the area.  I hope this helps in your decision making process.

Thank you for submitting your question and pictures. Sculptra is an excellent product for adding volume to the buttocks when a patient does not have enough fat for a BBL. Keep in mind you may need some body sculpting to enhance the overall effect and should look for a physician experienced in this procedure. It typically is going to require 20 or more vials of product to achieve a good result so the Sculptra Butt Lift tends to be more expensive than the BBL.

Sculptra is regularly used to add volume to the area and is safe when done by an experienced professional.
We also often use the combination of Sculptra and SculpSure to achieve a more defined, plumper butt. While Sculptra adds volume and "lift" to the area, using SculpSure to reduce fat around the thighs provides an even better proportion.

Sculptra is emerging as a filler for buttock enhancement. It does appear to be safe and effective based on conversations with my colleagues and my own limited experience.  The procedure involves using multiple vials (8 is my starting point) of Sculptra diluted in about 200 ml of sterile saline.

The very dilute Sculptra mixture is then injected into the buttock region using a microcannula.  There is immediate swelling related to the saline and this swelling subsides over several days. The Sculptra then stimulates collagen production and this leads to volumetric expansion over the next two months.

Most people are not going to be satisfied with the results of only one session of Sculptra and will likely need at least one more treatment course, and possibly several more.  The total number of vials and treatment procedures very much depends on the starting point as well as how much buttock volume is ultimately desired. 

So the costs of performing buttock enhancement with Sculptra can add up in a hurry if multiple sessions are needed. Our office and most other practitioners will offer a volume discount to make this procedure more affordable.
