Liposuction is an excellent operation in the right candidate. Patients with excellent skin quality and defined fat deposits get exceptional results.Patients with large fat deposits and loose skin are a set up for contour deformities post liposuction. The techniques to remove the fat - syringe liposuction, small cannula sizes, early post operative massage, and LPG therapy post op have lead to my best results. Irregularities do not have to occur.
Thighs do great with liposuction but mainly if they are done with the tumescent lipo under local with small cannulas. Lipos done under gen anesthesia with the larger cannulas tend to look lumpy and saggy anywhere on the body. sincerely,David Hansen,MD
Suction of the thighs can yield an excellent result depending on patient selection. Skin that is in good condition covering a modest amount of fat should leave an excellent result. Your surgeon will Discuss Your particular situation.
It is very possible that thigh liposuction can result in lumpy and wrinkled skin. But if the procedure is completed by a careful and well trained surgeon, the chances are extremely low. Most surgeons will be careful to leave the proper amount of fatty tissue behind and to use a cross tunneling technique with multiple cannula sites. Liposuction can be done very safely and effectively. But it can also lead to very dissatisfying results when done poorly. Make certain that you choose a board certified plastic surgeon to complete the procedure for you.
After having Smartlipothe areas will be slightly swollen and bruised. If there are areas that arelumpy this is just the healing process, and will eventually subside. Continueto wear your compression garment and follow up with your surgeon.
There is no question that liposuction of the thighs can produce looser thigh skin. Liposuction removes fat; it doesn't tighten the skin. As an example, liposuction is like letting air out of a balloon. The deflated balloon envelope gets more relaxed, less full, and wrinkled. In areas like the flanks, abdomen, hips, outer thighs, and buttock, liposuction is more tolerated and the skin usually responds better as long as it is not overdone. The age of the patient, weight loss/gain, childbearing, stretch marks, etc will effect the result. Consult a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Thank you for your question. In a patient with good skin quality this is unlikely to happen when the liposuction is done by a highly skilled surgeon. Liposuction does not address the tightness of the skin. If there is already loose or wrinkled skin it can be made more obvious by taking away the underlying fat. A post operative compression garment can help skin settle back down nicely after the procedure. It takes a full year in most cases to see just how much your skin will bounce back. I would advise you to make an appointment with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to see if you are a good candidate.
That certainly can happen, but would not be the expected result. The final look depends entirely on the quality of your tissues and the skill of your surgeon.
You should be walking the night of and the day after surgery, regardless of what surgery you have performed. You will be slow and sore, but should be up and about. For liposuction, expect to be sore for several weeks, but you should be able to be back at school. The BBL is the one procedure that...
In plastic surgery there are almost always ranges of options. There is the least expensive, least invasive option on one end of the spectrum and the more expensive, more invasive on the other end. The most useful treatment, in my opinion, on the non-invasive end of the spectrum is CoolSculpting....
There are two maneuvers you can do at home to get an idea if the fat is in the skin and can be treated with liposuction. Lie down on a flat surface and if your tummy skin rises higher than your ribs, it is almost always due to the internal or visceral fat. The other way is to stand up, tighten...
