I've heard that after having thigh liposuction, the skin will become lumpy and will wrinkle. Is this true?

Liposuction is an excellent operation in the right candidate.  Patients with excellent skin quality and defined fat deposits get exceptional results.Patients with large fat deposits and loose skin are a set up for contour deformities post liposuction.  The techniques to remove the fat - syringe liposuction, small cannula sizes, early post operative massage, and LPG therapy post op have lead to my best results.  Irregularities do not have to occur.

Thighs do great with liposuction but mainly if they are done with the tumescent lipo under local with small cannulas. Lipos done under gen anesthesia with the larger cannulas tend to look lumpy and saggy anywhere on the body. sincerely,David Hansen,MD
