5/19 - upper bleph, mid face lift, fat injections. I had deep under eye hollows, which runs in my family. Post sx intense upper eyelid and under eye bruising and swelling. Still have raccoon circles on entire socket. Lymph system may be under active and not helping. Spent last 4 months wearing glasses non stop to hide undereyes. Trying lymph massage, hydroquinone, topicals. Makeup doesnt hide circles -only glasses hides swelling. My surgeon has f/u sx scheduled for December. Best options?

Much more would be need to known about your precise surgery. Generally this type of result is related to the grafted fat. It is not possible to remove all the fat that was grafted. That is precisely why I strongly advise patients not to allow surgeons to graft fat into the midface. It is sometimes possible to tighten the cheek with benefit. A personal assessment is really needed to have a more specific answer.

To most accurately comment on your problem would require an examination. Based on your photos alone, you appear to have prolonged periorbital swelling and discoloration that typically resolves by three months postop. Conservative measures to address this may include massage, use of topical and/oral Arnica, and judicious use of steroids. The extent and prolonged nature of the problem is most likely associated with the fat grafting, which can occasionally cause very prolonged swelling. At this point , I would recommend only conservative measures, and would avoid any further surgical intervention until the problem has resolved.
