Will topical visodialators have a negative effect pre or post rhinoplasty surgery?

Hello, I am having Rhinoplasty on 1st of June. I am currently using Rogaine, ( active ingeredient is Minoxidil) which is a topical visodialator. I am using it on my beard to fill in some missing patches. My doctor said it shouldn’t be a problem, but I would like to get a second or third opinion. Topical Rogaine has a half life of 22 hours, regardless I will stop 2 days before my surgery, but can anyone tell me if there will be altercations with anestesia or healing post surgery? Thank you

Hello, This shouldn't have caused a significant damage. If the area becomes infected, make sure you see a doctor and get antibiotics.

Hi @Velez! Taping is common and helps with swelling. I recommend that all my patients tape nightly for at least 3 months post op. Best of luck to you!
