Hello, I am having Rhinoplasty on 1st of June. I am currently using Rogaine, ( active ingeredient is Minoxidil) which is a topical visodialator. I am using it on my beard to fill in some missing patches. My doctor said it shouldn’t be a problem, but I would like to get a second or third opinion. Topical Rogaine has a half life of 22 hours, regardless I will stop 2 days before my surgery, but can anyone tell me if there will be altercations with anestesia or healing post surgery? Thank you

The use of Rogaine in many male Rhinoplasty patients is quite common. This will have no effect on your surgery

a small amount of Rogain and will not have any negative effect on rhinoplasty procedure.    Always best to check with your operative surgeon.

Dear Lostandveryconfused. The usage of Rogaine on your beard prior to rhinoplasty surgery will not have any effect on the outcome of your surgery or interfere in anyway with your anesthesia.
