Could I have damaged anything by accidentally scratching my septum at 4 weeks post op?

I was using tweezers to remove some mucous after washing with saline did nothing, and accidentally scratched my septum. There was momentary pain, but there is none now. It’s bleeding a little (like a small paper cut). There was no surgery on my septal cartilage. Have I damaged anything? I rubbed antibiotic ointment on the scratch just in case, and have decided to leave it be.

Hi @Velez! Taping is common and helps with swelling. I recommend that all my patients tape nightly for at least 3 months post op. Best of luck to you!

3 months post-op I am still congested. I use spray to mildly relieve it. Would I need a revision to open my nasal passages?
