I had my first sublative RF procedure done 11 days ago. The healing followed what I was told to expect. I did not scratch or pick. Now I have what looks like blood under the skin in several places. I go in again in 3 wks...will another treatment clear this or is there something I can do to help my body absorb? Thank you in advance for your help.
Answer: Sublative RF These are little vessles/purpura that have been damaged from the RF device, typically I see this when the device is not held properly on the skin and there is not full impedance. I suggest waiting longer than 3 weeks and considering another location. Although it doens't look bad, and will likely resolve, it usually means the technique used wasn't proper or that your skin needs an alternative therapy. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Dots after eMatrix No way to avoid such telangiectasias and having had someone else do it would not have necessarily resolved this problem. The bottom line is, they will heal nicely without residual scarring. You probably would have had to pay someone for a laser procedure to get rid of these telangiectasias anyways. Experience is key and these are known or described lesion sets during sublative treatments. We have a structured protocol for eMatrix in our Williamsville, NY office. A maintenance treatment with Acne Relief Duo Pack skin products is recommended to prevent recurrent acne which can further cause ongoing scarring.

Answer: Should settle, if not solutions are possible You have capillaries in the background. The video below show how eMatrix works- essentially delivering energy deep into the upper layers of the skin. This process has ruptured some blood vessels. Give it 2-3 weeks, and the 'blebs' should lessen. If not, a very simple laser called V BEAM will work. This treats the redness and capillaries. I personally would clear your blood vessels up first, (V Beam , KTP laser, or even EXCEL V), the work on your concerns with eMatrix or other energy devices. All the best, Dr Davin S. LimLaser DermatologistBrisbane.

Answer: Small blood spots under skin after eMatrix Those appear to be sites where you probably had little capillaries prior to treatment. The treatment hit them and they became tiny pockets. Your body should absorb them over time (kind of like a bruise) and then they should go away. If you'd like to have your doctor check them before your next treatment that would be fine, but this is what I think is going on.
