I had Fue done 17th days ago. Can i shave my donor area with a #1 clipper? I felt like everything has healed already. My doctors said I can shave after 2 month but I hate how uneven the donor area is compared to the recipient area.

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.You may want to ask your doctor why you need to wait 2 months (as there may have been a special reason in your case).

Yes, after you have your transplant you only have to wait 2 weeks before getting a hair cut. However, I would recommend staying away from any razors and just using the clippers.

Thank you for your question. We generally allow our patients to shave their hair 7-10 days out from their procedure in the areas where hair has not been transplanted (i.e. donor area). I don't really understand why they are recommending two months unless they are referring to the area where grafts have been implanted. Even then, two months seems long.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Yes, the donor area should have healed by now and the use of a clipper will not be a problem at 2 weeks
