Is lipo with local anesthesia safe if I have pleurisy?

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Generally speaking, local anesthesia is not a good option for liposuction of big body areas. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations.

Any boarded Plastic Surgeon would require a chest X-ray and a pulmonary clearance before offering even higher dose local anesthesia for liposuction. Are you using a clinic or medspa to do your surgery? Are you sure the surgeon (?) is a boarded Plastic Surgeon? Sounds very questionable to me. Your life more valuable then a local anesthesia liposuction? Isn't it???

Safe as a subject of term. In order for us to tell you if the procedure is safe or not you need to define what safe means for you.

Worst case scenario of this procedure includes death, serious medical complications, morbidity and disfigurement.

These harbor have a low incidents.

High incidence complications include patients being dissatisfied with the outcome or being left with the result less than they had hoped for. these risks are common.

I suggest you follow up with your provider if you still have questions about your procedure.

In my opinion local anesthesia is safer than general anesthesia but the surgeon must have experience in skilled in doing awake procedures in order for not to be painful.

Confirm your surgeon is board-certified by the American Board of plastic surgery and has operating room privileges in an accredited institution.

Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than people believe.
