What can I do about my nose whistling after a rhinoplasty?

I had rhinoplasty about 3 months ago and last month my nose started whistling whenever I breathe in and out of my nose. The whistling sound is only coming out of one of my nostrils, it also feels obstructed. I did saline to try and clear it and there is nothing physically clogging my nose that I know about. Is this normal or permanent? How can I fix this? I saw my surgeon last month and she looked inside my nose to check for any infections but she said it looks fine and all looks ok. Thank you.

Dear GreenEyes85, I would ask your surgeon to show you exactly how he wants your nose taped so that you can ensure you are doing it by his/her standards. Personally I do not have my patients tape their noses. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
