Is it normal for scars to look the same after Bellafill?

I recently had subcision, bellafill and venus viva used for my acne scars. the first 3 days my face was so swollen that the acne scars looked invisible the swelling is obviously going down but the acne scars are again visible. I was given three bellafill syringes but I am now wondering if I made the wrong decision to do this.

This is difficult to answer without pictures. I recommend following up with your injector. This may be superficially placed filler. 5fu/steroid injections and venus legacy/viva treatments can help give improvement. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Both Bellafill and Juvederm would work in this area. The difference is that Bellafill is long lasting (5-10 year or more) and irreversible whereas Juvederm lasts up to a year and is easily reversible.
