Liposuction of inner thighs - Help! Pins and needles and foot is dead. (Photo)

Question

I had liposuction of my inner theighs 6 days ago. I am not wearing a compression garment or bandages. On my right leg only I have pain & my foot is dead. My whole leg feels as though I have pins & needles. Could I have nerve damage? Or is this something that generally goes away given healing time? Thanks heaps! :)

Thank you for your questions and pictures. Sorry to hear you are having problems. Some of the things you are describing are not typical and could be serious, but it may also be too early to tell. I would advise you to be seen by your PS as soon as possible for an evaluation and examination.Best of luck!

I recommend following up with your Doctor for a formal evaluation and after care.My patients wear customized compression and pain can be managed with oral neurontin. Pain and healing can be variable. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. hello sabriakello  Pain and discomfort after liposuction varies according to patients, oral medication is given to control pain in the first few days. Patients are usually instructed to wear elastic compression garments after the surgery, the period of time will be advised by the doctor. Numbness around suction area will improve a few weeks after the procedure. You should visit or contact your PS about this concern. #post-op #pain
