Will filler to augment my chin increase the length of my chin also? & will filler above eyebrow cause drooping? (photo)

The degree of your microgenia (lack of chin projection) would require a lot of Radiesse which is only a temporary fix so I would not recommend it. You would do better with a chin implant if you want a simple fix. When Radiesse is injected properly it should not cause your brow to fall. 

Weak chin and filler vs implant. You would do much better with a chin implant and it will be MUCH cheaper over time. Do not use filler for forehead. Radiesse is not reversible and will be there for 2 years. Get another opinion. 

These are two of my fav places to put filler.  There are many options depending on the look you are going for.  Using a cannula for injection helps to give lift and contour with little bruising, swelling, or irregularities.  Ensure you go to someone with a good aesthetic eye for treating these areas and who is very well trained in fillers and facial rejuvenation.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thanks for writing,I don't believe filler will help you chin projection. Based on you photos you either need a chin implant or a sliding genioplasty. I have done both, but my preference is a genioplasty. This procedure uses you own bone and is a very highly measured procedure so it is very accurate. There are no issues with silicone chin implants moving, thinning the bone or giving distorted appearance (button appearance).Based on your photos I think your skin and facial features look excellent. I would be very hesitant to change things with a filler. I believe you look baby faced and not older. Again based on your photos I would save my money.Stephen M. Davis, MD, FACS

I would suggest thinking about a chin implant.  You can try fillers first to be sure you like it, but over time, a chin implant would be more cost effective.  If you place your finger from your lips straight down, your chin should almost touch your finger.  Yours appears far behind.  Adding a silicone chin implant will provide projection and balance the lower half of your face.  Your eyebrows can be elevated to give you a softer, feminine look.  Your eyebrows should be one finger above your rim.  Yours appear to be much closer to the bone.

Thanks for your question and photos. I think that fillers are a great option for  facial shaping - especially for a young patient. One of the newest fillers on the scene is Juvederm Voluma and this has largely replaced Radiesse in my practice for facial shaping. Voluma is a fairly stiff and elastic hyaluronic acid filler (due to more cross-linking than the other HA's) and serves to give us more "lift" than most fillers. Also, because it is an HA, it can be erased by the injection of an enzyme if it doesn't achieve the result you seek (unlike Radiesse). This provides for a huge safety profile. Remember, an experienced injector will choose fillers as an artist chooses a brush. Each filler is for a different area and is intended to achieve a different result. Best wishes.
