Do I have Dennie-Morgan folds and do I need plastic surgery? (photos)

Hi Reserved,Yes, you do have the folds that approximately 25% of the population have.  If the folds bother you then you can be treated with a few units of Botox initially.  If they continue to bother you despite the botox treatment, then a very conservative skin pinch of your lower lid will help.  As with any aesthetic procedure make sure to choose your treating physician most carefully.  Good luck and be well.Dr. P 

Yes, you do have a lower eyelid crease that is often seen in patients, young and old. Obviously, as you get older, they may get more prominent. It is unlikely that you would have excess eyelid skin to remove at age 32. If you are bothered by this crease, subtle botox injection might make it less prominent, but you have to be careful with botox use in the lower lid. Too much botox might cause excess tearing if the eyelid is relaxed too much. 

You appear to have some folding of the skin which is natural in most people. In order to thicken the dermis of the skin to avoid folding or fine lines, medium-depth chemical peels, microneedling, and topical retin-A cream, are all techniques that can be used to reduce the fine lines. Dennie Morgan lines are very common and tend to be found more often in patients with allergies. However, there are a fair number of people without known allergies who complain about  these lines under their eyes.
