Before my pregnancy, I had 3 navel rings. During pregnancy, the scars discolored and I gained some stretch marks around my navel. Also, I have what I think is an umbilical hernia. I am currently 8 months postpartum Can an umbilicoplasty repair my umbilical hernia? Can a procedure be done simultaneously, under local anaesthetic, that would remove, repair or minimize the appearance of the piercing scars? If umbilicoplasty won't address the scars, what kind of procedure will? Cost?

I would take the entire central scar as a superioly based c-shaped flap and invaginate in a superior direction to create a hood then use a small skin graft to recreate the "innie" part of the belly button. The graft could be taken from behind the ear or from an old scar.
