Are there procedure options that can help with areola lightening ?

Hello, I feel like my areola’s are dark compared to my skin tone and I would love to lighten them I have read laser lightening works for this. Is there any procedure you recommended for this? It’s a personal preference I’ve always felt this way and it will never change. Although I know it may be normal I would like to change this. Let me know, thank you!

For lightening dark areolas, there are a couple of effective options:
Cosmelan: This is a topical depigmentation treatment that works by inhibiting the production of melanin in the skin. It can be used to lighten the areolas gradually over time. It’s a great option if you prefer a non-invasive, at-home treatment, with results typically visible after a few weeks of consistent use.PicoSure Laser: PicoSure is a laser treatment that targets pigmentation with short bursts of laser energy, breaking down dark pigment in the skin. It’s highly effective for treating hyperpigmentation, including in delicate areas like the areolas. The procedure is minimally invasive with little to no downtime, but multiple sessions may be needed for optimal results.
It may be possible to explore other options as well, however, a consultation is recommended to determine the best treatment based on your skin type and goals. Hope this helps!

Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started.
