Hello, dermatologist experts. Since niacinamide is a brightening ingredient. Is it safe to use on skin with vitiligo? And if someone doesn't have vitiligo, but has a family history of vitiligo is it safe to use it? Basically can niacinamide trigger vitiligo? I would really appreciate if a doctor would answer this question. Thank you
I have genetically dark upper lips right from my childhood. I regularly exfoliate and keep it moisturized in hopes of getting it lighten to some degree. But despite all the efforts, it still looks dark and ugly. Is there any way to make my lips pink or decrease the dark shade/pigmentation to a noticeable degree? I have even tried using ointments containing kojic acid niacinamide and Trenaxmic acid, but these too don't work. I am so done. I am attaching a clear picture for better analysis.
I have skin darkening around my chin, upper lip, cheeks, neck, and underarms. What could be causing this? I am not able to get a proper diagnosis. I am prediabetic and my A1c is under 6, controlled by metformin. I have tried topicals such as hydroquinone but it gave a purple darker hue so I stopped using. Ive seen a dermatologist who didnt give me a diagnosis. Ive been on 250mg TXA for 4 months and have also done glutathione IV drip 2 times a week for 2 months and no improvement. Please help. This is effecting my self confidence.
I have been using these creams for some time but they don't seem to brighten it. Could it be a condition that needs to be diagnosed. I need help. I will like to show off more of my legs this summer. Thank you.
Basically I had my daughter 2 years ago and I noticed my inner tights got really dark really fast and I want to get the discoloration off ASAP I haven't had sex with the lights on due to this. If anybody knows of a doctor near that can preform surgery or something that sort or somebody provide a fast acting bleaching cream Thant would be helpful
Around my eyes are very black, my chin is slightly lighter but still dark and my nose and cheeks are a yellowish, light brown color. Without makeup I look very foolish as you can imagine. I have started using a 5% hydroquinine based cream. I have been using it for 5 days now on the skin around my eyes and I feel a a slight burn& my skin has also become dry, more wrinkly and is peeling slightly. I am so desperate to make my skin tone more even particularly under my eyes.
I'm hoping to get info about this for skin pigmentation/overall condition improvement in young, Caucasian skin. Both drugs are known for irritation. Would mixing them together make it worse? Some preparations add corticosteroid, but I've got visible veins & I'm reluctant to trust tretinoin to mitigate the skin atrophy potential. Also, should I mix them, or use one product a night, switching each night? Tretinoin contributes penetration enhancement, but I'm unsure of the irritant impact of that.
