How common is brusing after a tear through injection? Could the bruise look like I got knocked out, meaning big and ugly? I hear that men tend to bruise less. How long do fillers last?
Answer: It is not uncommon to have bruising after injection. Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to have bruising after injection. Juvederm is not recommend for the tear trough area because the skin is very thin and can lead to persistent swelling. I recommend having the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase, and replaced with Restylane. Please make sure you are seeing an expert injector.

Answer: Bruising from tear trough injections Bruising can occur after any injection in this area. I like to inject the tear troughs using a microcannula instead of a needle. This significantly lowers the risk of getting a bruise. Most of the time I can avoid leaving a bruise by using the cannula technique.
