I can't smack my lips after rhinoplasty, is this normal?

I'm at about a couple weeks post op. Top lip looks swollen but it's not numb. I'm worried that I can't smack my lips. When I try to pull my top lip down it feels stretched and doesn't want to come down. Will I eventually be able to smack my lips? I had tip work done, my nose slightly shortened but my muscle in my top lip was not cut.

Picture one day after always will have swelling.  This is not to be considered a final results.  Final results should be checked AFTER swelling is gone.

It is not possible to give a precise answer to your question as everyone is different with different skin types.  There is no prospective research study to give us the answer either.  The risk is that you could make swelling worse and sometimes swelling can be persistent and never...
