Answer: I was diagnosed with hep C all my liver functions are normal. Do you think the surgeon will still be willing to proceed? It is very important that your plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist be aware of all of your medical conditions. It may also be helpful to have your internist or gastroenterologist “clear” you for the planned procedure; they may also have recommendations about perioperative medication management. Assuming the hepatitis is “well-controlled”, it is most likely that you will be able to proceed. Best wishes.

Answer: I was diagnosed with hep C all my liver functions are normal. Do you think the surgeon will still be willing to proceed? Thanks for writing,It is always a good idea to mention everything to you plastic surgeon, not only for your safety but also for the safety of others involved in your care. If your blood work is good, you have medical clearance and your surgeon is comfortable, I would suspect the surgery would proceed. That decision however can only be made by your physicians.
