3 months post op, puss like coming out from drain area after abdominoplasty. Is this normal? (photos)

Based on this photograph, it appears that there is an infection with purulent material that needs to be drained.  There may be a foreign body there that if it is not removed, the infection will not heal.  It needs to be opened and drained.

 Thank you for your picture. It sounds like that you have an infection. I would recommend that you immediately discuss this and be evaluated by your plastic surgeon for the most appropriate treatment either antibiotic therapy and/or drainage

It looks like you may have a small infection that has come up. Contact your surgeon so he/she can assess you and decide on the best course of action. Take care. 

The photograph appears to reveal a localized infection. This might require surgical drainage and possibly an antibiotic. You should check in with your surgeon.

Sometimes after the Tummy Tuck, specially where the drain was removed, the "tunnel" created by the drain sometimes does not heal properly and let the fluid to build up and finally that tunnel is full and the fluid will find its way out. You help a lot applying some pressure to bring the fluid out   It looks swollen and the reaction of the fluid built up inside. If that would be infected, it wouldn't have appeared 3 months after. The only way to know us infected is a culture of the fluid. Just the drain of the fluid will alleviate  the symptoms. Be encouragedDr. Cardenas 

A local infection is treated by draining the infection. I would see your PS asap so that he can take a look at the area and drain the infection. If this is delayed, the surrounding area could become involved and the infection can track into new areas that are not necessarily infected now. See your PS soon. If you get worse or have any fever or chills, a trip to the ER may be warrented. 

Appears a delayed post operative infection. You need immediate in person medical care. See your surgeon ASAP. 

you should see your surgeon and have them evaluate this in person.  it is not normal to have redness, pain, and fluid or pus draining from your surgery site, particularly 3 months following your surgeon.  this should be treated by your surgeon - call them for an appointment and explain to them what is going on. 

It looks like you have a small infection there.  I would let your doctor know and she/he can drain it further and give you some antibiotics.  Best of luck.

You know the answer ,it is not normal at this point after surgery.See your doctor right away to properly handle what looks like an infection.
