What could this be and what are my options for removal? Laser?

This typically refers to "erbium" resurfacing which is good in the short term but long term gives very little collagen production.  Depending on your skin type and condition, fractional co2 laser resurfacing in my hands gives much greater long term benefits.  Best, Dr. Emer.

This particular birthmark appears to be fairly flat, which makes it not ideal for curettage (scraping). You might be able to see some lightening of it with laser, but the best way to remove it would be a simple surgical excision. If done right this will leave you with a fine linear scar that...
