I would suggest clarification and perhaps having other consultations since it seems like your questions and concerns were not adequately explored. I would recommend a liposuction expert with at least 15 years of experience in accredited surgery center under sedation and no general anesthesia and avoid additional risk and duration of procedure such as Vaser and laser that could burn and don't add anything to results.
Yes, it usually does, but I recommend following up with your Doctor to be clear on treated areas. For best results, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Dear vcolione, yes, trunk liposuction does include liposuction of the back.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
Hi and thanks for the question. In short, it depends on the surgeon and on what was discussed and detailed in your surgical quote. When I perform Vaser-assisted lipoplasty of the trunk, it includes full abdomen, flanks (sides), and upper and lower back. That, by definition is the "trunk".Best of luck,Glenn Vallecillos, MD, FACS, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Since none of us was present during your surgical consultation we cannot really know what was discussed between you and your surgeon. The only way to get an answer would be to call the office for specifics (the exact areas (ie flanks, waist, upper back, mid back, lateral chest, upper abdomen, lower abdomen) should have been spelled out because the word "trunk" is very nonspecific. And if you left the office not knowing the details, I would be worried about what kind of consultation you were given. You might do well to see more than one consultant.
Thank you for your question. It sounds like you have been quite compliant with your prescribed post operative care---and it's unlikely that swimming 3 weeks following liposuction will lead to an adverse cosmetic outcome. As you've surmised, you will indeed have persistent swelling at...
Swelling at 5th day of recovery is normal. Expect #swelling and bruising to resolve in the first two weeks, although some may persist for 6–8 weeks. Improvement will continue for 4–6 months as swelling and irregularities resolve. The #results can even improve and become more defined t...
Thank you for asking about your liposuction. The reasons are these -Most plastic surgeons get excellent results with their existing machines. Why change? All new liposuction machines claim to be cheaper with faster recovery and safer. In fact, unless laser is used (the heat adds risk), all have a...
