Swelling at 5th day of recovery is normal. Expect #swelling and bruising to resolve in the first two weeks, although some may persist for 6–8 weeks. Improvement will continue for 4–6 months as swelling and irregularities resolve. The #results can even improve and become more defined throughout the year after surgery. Swelling is normal after any surgery and particularly with thigh liposuction. If you are concerned with whether or not it is an abnormal degree of swelling, or have other symptoms such as redness, fevers, drainage you should notify your surgeon. Best of luck.
It is not uncommon to experience more persistent swelling after an inner thigh liposuction (compared to other areas of the body) due to gravity, which is causing most of the edema to settle in the lower extremeties.Nonetheless, almost each day there should be some improvement in the amount of pain, swelling, and tenderness.
