Swelling at 5th day of recovery is normal. Expect #swelling and bruising to resolve in the first two weeks, although some may persist for 6–8 weeks. It is not uncommon to experience more persistent swelling after an inner thigh liposuction (compared to other areas of the body) due to gravity, which is causing most of the edema to settle in the lower extremeties.Nonetheless, almost each day there should be some improvement in the amount of pain, swelling, and tenderness. The thighs are a very sensitive area, especially after liposuction. Blood flow will help the area heal more rapidly, I would also suggest lymphatic massages in that area.
