I had an alar rim graft done on my left nostril because of uneven nostrils. 3 weeks after surgery, the nostril that was much higher is now much lower and seems more narrow. Is it normal for swelling after an alar rim graft to last more than 3 weeks. The unevenness is pretty big. People I know seems to notice and comment.

The open rhinoplasty incision is a "V" shaped incision above your piercing sites. The piercing sites can be protected during surgery and the jewelry can be put back in place 2-3 weeks postop.
