Small 32AA, 170cc (natural volume) BW 13 cm, sub-muscular, inframammary incision. I was going to get 195cc moderate profile, diameter of 10.25. I don't want too large, but I heard if it's too small it will create too big of a gap on my chest. I am scared of lower profiles because I don't have enough breast tissue to hide potential rippling, but low plus? goals: 32/34B. When it comes to breast pocket size are there any other issues with going "too small?" Lower better for small?
Answer: Which implant is better for me? To accurately answer your question would require an examination. A number of factors must be considered when choosing the correct implant. In my opinion, only your surgeon has the knowledge and experience to do that. The patient should only be concerned with how they wish their breasts to look. Different profile implants allow for giving a patient increased volume and projection for a given diameter. In our practice, we use low profile implants in very limited situations, while using either moderate or high profile implants to give more fullness while staying within the base diameter of the breasts. Consult an experienced surgeon ,communicate your desires, and trust them to make the correct selection.

Answer: Low-Plus better than Moderate Profile for smaller implants? Your board certified plastic surgeon has had many years of training and in some cases decades of experience in dealing with these issues. Your surgeons fund of knowledge should be far greater than you can gather though a few months of research. Rather than trying to make these decisions yourself, use your surgeon as a resource to guide you through the selection process.

Answer: Well Informed It looks like you have been doing your research.Breast width is very important when it comes to determining an appropriate implant. We also know that implants below a volume of 300cc's maintain excellent long term results. Here is some advice:1) The moderate profile or low plus profile will probably work for you. The low profile plus is 11cm wide and has a little bit less projection. This implant would probably fill the space and cleavage very well.2) If you are worried about rippling, Allergan makes an SCX & SSX implant with all the same dimensions as an SRX, but they are filled more and have less chance of wrinkling. They cost a little more.3) If your surgeon has 3D imaging, see what the two implants look like on your body. There probably won't be much of a difference.Good luck. You are on the right path to getting a good result. Keep up the research and asking very good questions. This will only help you in the long run.

Answer: Profile The implant selection should be based on a combination of your desired size, soft tissue dynamics, breast base diameter and skin elasticity. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable with. Finally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).Best,Dr. DesaiBeverly Hills Institute for Aesthetic Plastic SurgeryHarvard Educated, Beverly Hills & Miami Beach TrainedDouble Board-Certified, Double Fellowship-Trained Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon
