I got ten units of botox injected into my forehead around 25 days ago. One eyelid (the left in the attached photo) is now feeling heavy and it just looks a lot bigger than the other one. The eyelid is swollen and thicker than the other eyelid Can this be the result of botox? I have heard of eyelid drooping, but I am unsure what this is exactly. If this is the result of botox, will it go away on its own when the botox dissolves and also is there any permanent damage that could result from this?

I see no link after Botox to cause this. Broken blood vessels can come spontaneously, after bearing down, and sneezing/ coughing. They usually are self contained, do not affect vision and re absorb with time.
There could be a little dispersion from the injection sight because of the trauma, but nothing to worry about overall.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
