Got my cast off and I look like an avatar? (Photo)

It is normal for there to be swelling on the bridge of the nose and the nasal tip after rhinoplasty surgery. This is especially true right after the cast is removed. It typically looks really good the day the cast is removed but then swelling can set back in within 24-48 hours. Rhinoplasty surgery really requires patience. Follow up with your surgeon as per your planned schedule and bring it up to your surgeon if there is any concern. 

Swelling and bruising is normal after surgery. Your surgeon and or staff should have explained this to you before your procedure. 

Hi there and thank you for your photo. Based on your picture you are in the first week after your rhinoplasty...meaning, swelling of your nose, and your cheeks, puffiness and bruising around your eyes are common facts after a nose job. All this will eventually recede. Patience is the most difficult component of the rhinoplasty journey, that is frequently forgotten before the actual procedure. 
You should consider contacting the practice of your surgeon and ask for a list of instructions how you can accelerate the healing process and what you should avoid. 
To help you understand the timeframe between surgery and the final result: you are just about to finish the first quarter.

Dear Pamela, Hopefully you liked the appearance of your nose the when your splint was removed. Generally the day the splint is removed you can get a good idea of what your nose will look like. However once the splint is removed the nose will swell again and it will take some time for this swelling to dissipate. I would see your surgeon for a follow up appointment as he/she knows best what you agreed upon for as your desired nose, what techniques were used during your procedure, and where you are in the recovery process.
