Im 22 years old, and i dont really have smile line folds but i have crevices in that area and i would like to have that area fuller but i dont want something as temporary as filler. What are my options?
Answer: Why fat grafting may be right for you Thank you for your question and photo. The crevices you’re referring to appear to be due to volume loss, which can be corrected with fat grafting. An autologous facial fat transfer uses your body’s own fat to rebuild volume, providing a safe, natural, non-allergenic alternative to fillers with longer-lasting results. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to discuss your concerns with you and determine the best treatment option.

Answer: Subcision Works Well With Permanent Results For Elevating All Kinds Of Depressions Subcision is a quick and easy procedure for elevating and smoothing all kinds of indented scars and depressions and has been used to elevate and smooth indented scars and folds, such as in those in the smile line area. Since subcision, which I have personally been performing since 1995, relies on the natural stimulation of new collagen and new elastic fiber synthesis, the results are typically long-lasting to permanent. Since this the day and age of "bells and whistles" fraxel laser and RF devices, you will likey have to search hard to find an experienced, expert cosmetic dermatologist who regularly performs this procedure. In experienced, hands, treatment of both sides should take only about ten minutes tops to perform. Hope this helps and best of luck.
