Answer: Restylane Thank you for your question about Restylane lip filler. It is very common for lips to swell quite a lot after filler. This swelling is related to both tissue trauma from the procedure itself (such as bruising and general swelling), as well as normal localized fluid retention that happens with use of HA filler. This initial swelling will typically go down after 2-3 days. The worst swelling is usually the morning after the procedure. Also, the swelling can be a bit uneven at the beginning and will typically even out after a few days. If there was any bruising deeply or superficially, that will typically go away in 2-3 weeks. To be sure, see two or more experienced, licensed and board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment. I hope this helps.

Answer: Is this normal? Lip augmentation results This can be typical. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results, but this may be superficially placed filler. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase. I hope this helps!

Answer: Restylane for the lips Lip fillers can cause a lot of swelling and temporary side effects, so don't worry about your final result at this point. It is normal for them to be firm and asymmetric at two days out. This could last for another 2-7 days, depending on the person and the amount of bruising. I ask patients to wait 10-14 days before re-assessing their lips. It looks like you got a bruise and this can cause swelling that lasts longer and can make the lip look abnormal. It should even out and look great in a few more days. Hang in there! I hope you love your new lips. We get great results from Restylane products in the lip, and it's one of my favorite procedures.
