Shiny redness 4 weeks post liquid rhinoplasty. Should I dissolve it? (Photo)

I had a liquid rhinoplasty (non surgical nose on)4 weeks ago. He injected both the bridge of my nose and the tip. My nose is till very red and shiny, there is no pain associated. Should I dissolve? Get antibiotics? He was a very experienced injector and the best around.

That said, adding filler to your nose would not make your nose any smaller. Additionally, rhinoplasty surgery can lead to worsening nasal redness. A neuromodulator like botox would be of little benefit. Silikon-1000 is a permanent soft tissue filler that can often times be used to camouflage the appearance of nasal bossae involving the tip. There are several examples in the attached video. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Have utilized microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections on top of synthetic nasal implants for years, and we have thankfully not seen any infections. HA fillers are sugar molecules, and these may be more likely to be associated with an infection. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Your question stems from a possible relationship between Accutane usage and poor healing and scarring. This is controversial, and there is no correct answer. In our practice, we wait at least 4 months after cessation of isotretinoin for injectables or for rhinoplasty surgery. Thank you. Dr Joseph
