I’ve had a closed rhinoplasty about 10 years ago now where the doctor had put some synthetic cartilage type to keep the tip lifted but after 2.5 years the cartilage had dropped from one side giving a slight droop and unevenness and also a pointier look to the nose. My question is can I have a nose thread lift done due to my previous nose surgery and synthetic cartilage?

Answer: Thread lifting may not be helpful for lifting a droopy nasal tip appearance
Have utilized microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections on top of synthetic nasal implants for years, and we have thankfully not seen any infections. HA fillers are sugar molecules, and these may be more likely to be associated with an infection. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Dr Joseph
Your question stems from a possible relationship between Accutane usage and poor healing and scarring. This is controversial, and there is no correct answer. In our practice, we wait at least 4 months after cessation of isotretinoin for injectables or for rhinoplasty surgery. Thank you. Dr Joseph
