Question

So I know that I am experiencing receding/thinning hair however the last 2 years I have noticed my hair texture has become extremely dull, brittle, and frizzy to the point where it is virtually impossible to style. It no longer has any weight or movement.

As one undergoes hair loss, it miniaturizes. This means that the diameter decreases as well as the number of hairs per follicle. A decrease in diameter leads to splitting, brittleness and frizzyness. Some of this can be controlled with various products, but the underlying problem cannot be changed without treatment. Medications or PRP that increase the hair shaft diameter should helpful.

We use PRP (platelet rich plasma) at my clinic and it helps tremendously with hair. It becomes stronger, thicker and longer. Alimentation can help a lot of too and maybe you have some vitamin deficiency. Testing your blood would be a good idea.
