Is it ok to sit for just a few minutes next day after BBL?

Thank you for your question.  It is true that one should sit for a few weeks post fat grafting to buttocks (so called Brazilian Butt Lift - BBL) but 10 minutes while going through customs should not hurt the fat cells.  I do recommend my patients to stay a few days in Toronto post procedures and lying on your stomach for most of your drive back home in USA is advised.Hope this answers your question!Kind regards,Dr. Marc DuPere, aesthetic plastic surgeon and BBL surgeon.

I have my BBL patients avoid sitting for 10 days after surgery except for using the toilet.  This means they are either laying on their belly or their sides or standing during this period of time.  When they go home after surgery they typically lay down on their side in the back seat of the car.  If this for some reason is not possible, sitting on your buttocks for 2 hours would probably be okay, although it may be painful or uncomfortable right after the surgery.  You may want to get out of the car for frequent breaks or at least change positions during your ride home.

You are best to do it locally so that you can get the appropriate post-op care. Lying on your stomach or on a special pillow without putting pressure on your buttocks sounds reasonable.

Buy a BBL pillow to sit on in the car and buckle your seat belt. It is not really safe to lay down in the back seat if you get into a wreck.

Hello, good afternoon, thanks for your question and provided information as well... It is not ok if you're not using a boopy pillow, you need to get one and sleep, sit and rest with your pillow. That will prevent your bbl to get flat. Good luck!!
