i wanna do buccal fat removal and also get my wisdom teeth removed but i'm not sure which one to do first and how long i should wait to get the other procedure, i was hoping for some insight.
Answer: Options I would recommend wisdom teeth go first, especially if they are bugging you. Medical before cosmetic. It depends on how how fast you heal and if there are any post op complications. You should wait till the incisions is fully healed and there are no sutures left. To be on the safe side, I would say 3-4 weeks. This would allow time for your body to fully heal and reduce the risk of infection. Not to mention it would be extra uncomfortable to have both procedures done close together. That being said, if your teeth are not bothering you, there should be no issue having buccal fat done first, as long as you wait till you are fully healed. It will be hard to open your mouth fully after buccal fat removal and you don't want to further stress out your jaw muscles. The result is considered 'final' at 3 months, however you would probably be okay at 2 months for wisdom teeth. You may be more sore than normal afterwards. If there is no rush for the wisdom teeth, you might as well wait the full 3 months.

Answer: Buccal fat removal/wisdom teeth removal - which should I do first, and how long should I wait for the other procedure? Hello and good question. The two procedures are independent and it honestly does not matte which one you do first because the final result will be the same. It is even possible to do both at the same time if you are going to an experienced surgeon who is well versed in buccal fat removal.

Answer: Bucal fat removal vs. wisdom teeth There is no good order to follow, you can do both of them together if your oral/maxillofacial surgeon is familiar with buucal fat removal. Hope that this helps.

Answer: Buccal fat removal/wisdom teeth removal - which should I do first, and how long should I wait for the other procedure? Thank you for your questions. I would advise going ahead with the buccal removal first. It is a simple procedure with easy recovery. I would say that after 6 weeks, you should be more than ready to have any dental procedures. Good luck! Dallas Buchanan, MD VIVIFY plastic surgery Tampa, FL

Answer: Buccal fat ideally you would do both at the same time since they are in the same area. The upper wisdom teeth are immediately adjacent to buccal fat. Have a Maxillofacial surgeon do the procedures.
