Question

I’ve been told buccal fat removal would benefit me but some people who’ve gotten the procedure look older and say it leaves a hollow when making certain expressions. I want a youthful appearance, not an old one. I want to add that I’ve gained a lot of stubborn weight due to pregnancy so I will upload pics of my face before I got pregnant. Do I need buccal fat removal? Since it’s irreversible I’m afraid to regret it. My aesthetic goal is Lynda Carter’s face structure IF it suits me.

It looks like you would be a great candidate for buccal fat removal and in this case, it should not make you look older/gaunt.

When performed on the right patients and with the right technique, it offers dramatic results. The procedure is personalized for each individual and the amount of buccal fat taken varies for each individual.

Of course, an « in person » exam is necessary.

Candy,Your question is a good one and the answer depends on the face/skin type. Your photo indicates to me you have good tissue tone, and strong underlying muscle and connective tissue. Therefore you will not look older even as you do get older because you have the protection of your skin elasticity, muscle and underlying connective tissue support.You are a good candidate for buccal fat removal.
