Can I get Buccal fat removal while awake?

In my practice more than 90% of the patients undergo buccal fat removal under local anesthesia without any IV sedation or oral sensation. The rest undergo buccal fat pat removal under general anesthesia because they are going under for another procedure like liposuction or tummy tuck.
Very often my buccal fat removal patients undergo a secondary procedure also under local anesthesia like neck liposuction. 

Buccal fat removal procedures can be and are performed under local anesthesia without the need for a major operating theater quite oftenly. Buccal fat removal is routinely done in minor operating rooms, without going into major theatres. In fact more often than not sedation is avoided, and just a few shots of local anesthesia in the form of nerve blocks and local infiltration is sufficient. I avoid sedation, since that would involve anesthetist and the entire set up increasing costs. This procedure takes just 3-4 minutes each side, so i feel pretty safe in doing this way
