At such an early stage of recovery, it’s difficult to tell what your final results will be. Your body continues to go through changes throughout recovery, so you should give it at least a month or so and follow-up with your surgeon in an in-person exam. If you experience any serious changes- an increase in pain or swelling, discoloration, etc., then you should see your surgeon sooner.

Hello,At 8 days it's too early to tell what your final result will be but all your incisions and shape look fairly normal for this early. If you do need a belly button revision at 6 months this can usually be done in the office. All the best,Dr. BlaggAustin, TX

Thank you for your question. I would agree with your Plastic Surgeon - you are very, very early in the post-operative state and you have a lot of swelling that should recede. At the very worst, if your belly button is not how you would like it after 6 months to a year, a small revision can likely be done under local anesthetic. But again, without seeing your before photos, and examining you in person, chances are this will get a lot better. Best of luck! 

Good question, but it is so early to make a decision about this!  Please wait at least 6 months to decide how the final shape will be.  If it ever needed a revision this can be done quite easily.  By the way, from what I can see of your TT it appears to be healing properly.  Continue to ask your Plastic Surgeon about this.Good luck.Frank Rieger M.D.  Tampa Plastic Surgeon

Thank you for your question. At 8 days post op it is veray early in your healling process and there is still a significantly amount of swelling. As weeks go by the swelling should start going down, if you have any concerns contact your surgeon.
