I applied a lotion (17% Salicylic acid / 17% Lactic acid) to my forehead to get rid of bruise scab (it was not hurting). But I may have overdone it -- my forehead is now red/brown (violetish when wet). The skin is also rough and there is burning sensation. What should I apply to reduce the burning sensation, redness and to encourage skin to peel faster. Can I use Benzoyl Peroxide (2.5% - 5%)? It is a good idea to use Peptide serum post the peel when the redness is still there? Thanks.
