I close all my incisions most Dr.'s and they heal great there is no danger, it is actually less messy post op continue to wear your garment low and snug to prevent any fluid collection, best of luck.
Thank you very much for your question andcongratulations on your recent Brazilian Butt Lift procedure. Every surgeonwill have their own, personal preference on whether to leave the incisions openwith drains, or close the surgical incisions, following a Brazilian Butt Lift. Many physicians prefer to close the incisions to eliminate messy drainage andto reduce the chance for infections or complications at the site. It is not anecessity to have drains, and as long as your recovery seems to be goingsmooth, there should be no issues with the closed incisions. Should you haveany further questions or concerns, however, I recommend reaching out to youroperating surgeon for his/her reassurance.
It is a personal preference of the PS on whether or not to close the lipo access sites I close mine with a very delicate absorbable suture so that it can "break" if the fluid really wants to come out. It is nice if the majority of the fluid comes out early for cosmetic reasons only as you will look thinner sooner but long term the result will be the same. I will use diuretics once the patient stabilizes to get rid of this extra fluid if it doesn't come out on its own.
I close all of my incisions so there is no danger. There is also no cleanup.Good luck with your healing.Dr T
Some surgeons close the incisions and others do not. I prefer to close them when I do a BBL. .........
After liposuction with or without BBL, drainage from the small incisions can be variable, depending on if the entry sites were stitched, how much fluid was placed in the area, and your size. Whether or not you are draining should not be of great concern. Your body can absorb and remove excess fluid most of the time. You would need to contact your surgeon for the best possible answer.
A main advantage of closing the incisions is having no post-op drainage and thereby being much less messy. I close the incisions as do many, if not, most plastic surgeons. Good luck with your healing!

Liposuction and fat grafting can certainly provide more balance to your frame. Your primary issue is your hip discrepancy rather than the buttocks.
