How long do I wait to smoke marijuana after a BBL?

not resume smoking of any kind for at least three months after their procedure.
Smoking cigarettes, pipes, cigars, e-cigarettes, and marijuana can cause
delayed wound healing and prevent revascularization of the transplanted fat.
Although the best advice is to cease smoking altogether, refrain for at least
three months to ensure the safest and most satisfactory BBL results.

Thank you for your questions. No surgeon is going to give you permission to do this because we do not know how it interacts with your surgery. The best advice is to not resume at all. Short of that, the best answer is to abstain for as long as possible. Best of luck!

Dear Ilianag,every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. Most plastic surgeons would recommend you to wait at least 6-8 weeks. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS

Greetings. In general, you should wait a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks to use this type of substance. Ideally, you should not resume it at all.  There could be associated post-operative complications. This is also something to discuss with your surgeon. Good luck!

This is a question that your doctor will need to answer for you. I have my patients abstain from smoking anything for at least 6 weeks after this type of surgery. It's not possible to say how it will affect your results, but smoking any substance even without nicotine puts carbon monoxide and other toxins into your bloodstream. We don't know for sure, but this may be harmful to your cells while your fat transfers are "taking" or healing in your buttocks. You may lose some transferred fat, decreasing the quality of your long term result.

I generally inform my patients not to smoke cigarettes of any kind for at least 1 month post-op. But I would check with your PS.
