How long do I wait to smoke marijuana after a BBL?

congratulations on your recent Brazilian Butt Lift. Surgical patients should
not resume smoking of any kind for at least three months after their procedure.
Smoking cigarettes, pipes, cigars, e-cigarettes, and marijuana can cause
delayed wound healing and prevent revascularization of the transplanted fat.
Although the best advice is to cease smoking altogether, refrain for at least
three months to ensure the safest and most satisfactory BBL results.

Thank you for your questions. No surgeon is going to give you permission to do this because we do not know how it interacts with your surgery. The best advice is to not resume at all. Short of that, the best answer is to abstain for as long as possible. Best of luck!

Dear Ilianag,every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. Most plastic surgeons would recommend you to wait at least 6-8 weeks. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS
