Can someone explain an accutane maintenance dose to me please?

Accutane maintenance is not recommended if you are female or plan to become pregnant. I can't tell from your question which is why I am pointing this out. However, there's not a clearcut answer for you which is why you are probably finding conflicting information. If you are taking 10mg daily for 2 months that will be a total cumulative dosage of only 600mg. For purely oily skin being the problem, I would have an initial concern that that may not be enough to go right into a maintenance dosage program. Usually for purely oily skin purposes I still try to get a patient into the lows 1000s for a total cumulative dosage, and then find the proper maintenance dosage, which is somewhere between 20mg once a week, or 20mg every third day.
