Will going bra-less two weeks after breast reduction and lift affect the perkiness of my breast? If so how long after surgery can I go bra-less or switch to a different type of bra?

Answer: Wearing bras after breast surgery Very common question! In my practice I ask patients to wear a supportive recovery bra for around six weeks. If you have a special occasion then it is usually fine to go without the bra or switch to a different type of bra for a few hours. Special care needs to taken with underwire bras for around 12 months to ensure that scars are not irritated. Many patients like the look of underwire bras but find them a little uncomfortable. If thats the case you can simply remove the underwire from the bra. Of course, you should seek the advise of your surgeon in your individual case.
