I've always had large breasts and used to be 34dd. After 3 children I'm now a 34ff and desperately want them reduced to a B cup if possible?? I've never particularly liked my breasts and suffer from back/neck ache. Aswell as having large saggy breasts, my areola's are large too and wondered if these could be altered too? Could you advise on average recovery time for this sort of procedure? Thanks
Answer: Areola too large and recovery time The above doctors did a great job of answering what you can expect in reducing the size of your breasts. As part of a breast reduction, you will also get lifting and reduction of your areola. As far as recovery, the good news is that it is relatively easy compared to other procedures we perform. Patients often return to my office the next day feeling better than before the surgery because of the great weight lifted off their neck and back. You will have to wait a couple of weeks before bathing in a swimming pool/jacuzzi/ocean until the incisions are completely healed, but showering is allowed the day after surgery. I hope my answer was helpful and I wish you luck with your procedure!

Answer: Reduction volume is a very individual thing Thanks for your question. Often times with reductions, the final volume and outcome is dependent on the size and shape of the breast preop. You should visit with your surgeon about what your wishes are. We can't ever guarantee a cup size, but they can tell you if your expectations can be met. It is a great procedure to help with your pain.Best of Luck!

Answer: I'm a 34FF, can my breasts be reduced to a B cup? Thank you for the question and congratulations on your decision to proceed with breast reduction surgery; this operation tends to be one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform. Before undergoing the breast reduction procedure it will be very important to communicate your size goals with your surgeon. Most patients wish to achieve enough of a reduction to help with their symptoms while remaining proportionate with the remainder of their torso. With the goal of improving communication with my patients I find the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “B cup” or "proportionate" means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate.Best wishes with your breast reduction procedure; hopefully you will be very pleased with the outcome of the procedure performed.

Answer: Reductions can help but achieving a B cup is a little challenging due to issues such as your chest size, weight, and other factors. I never guarantee a cup size result as cups vary among manufacturers too. I can only guarantee that they will have a smaller cup size and patients can influence what I do by asking me to be conservative, aggressive or to do my usual thing. If you are dead set on a B cup, you need to make it clear to your surgeon so your surgeon can let you know if its a reality or fantasy.

Answer: 34FF to a B I would say that in general to maintain viability of the skin flaps and the pedicle of tissue that contains the nipple areola complex, it is unlikely to get down to a B and maintain a good shape and for things to heal properly.
