Will liposuction get rid of my buffalo hump? (photos)

I have successfully treated many patients presenting with a Buffalo Hump with liposuction by tumescent local anesthesia and micro-cannulas. It is possible for this area to have a more fibrous fat that can be very difficult to remove but usually with micro-cannulas the area is fairly easy to treat.With the Klein Tumescent Liposuction, the patient is completely awake while dilute local anesthesia is gently injected. Thanks for your question. You appear to be a good candidate for liposuction on that area. Best is to do an in person examination to get the best plan for you. You definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety.  A key quality indicator is Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.  Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.

CabralBarbie2015I appreciate your concern, and it appears from your photograph that you do have a classic buffalo hump. I’ve treated many of these entities successfully with liposuction alone. They usually do not recur. Come see me or another board-certified plastic surgeon in the area for a full evaluation. Good luck.

Hello and thank you for your question.  The best advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation.  Based on your photograph, you may be a candidate for liposuction of your posterior neck area.  This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon.   Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.  I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
