Hi. I'm currently a DD cup and want to get a BA done to become a full large E cup( maybe slightly bigger - small F) Just wondering what cc a surgeon might suggest to achieve the look I want ( picture attached). I know I would want round textured high profile implants. I do want them quite large round and full. I have attached a picture of my breasts and a picture of a girl I know who got hers done. I know she got 525cc round textured, ultra high profile (A cup - E cup).
Answer: Be cautious about choosing very large breast implants Thank you for your question and photograph. Extremely large breast implants have an increased chance of significant complications such as capsular contraction which detract from the final appearance of the breast. For more information on choosing cup size with breast augmentation please read the following link:

Answer: What size implants will I need approx to go from a 10D/DD - E Cup? Thank you for the question and pictures. There is no accurate correlation between size of breast implant and cup size achieved. I ask my patients not to communicate their goals or evaluate the outcome after breast augmentation surgery, in terms of achieving specific cup size. Cup sizes may vary from one bra manufacturer to another and are not at all a reliable “measure” of breast size. In your case, online consultants will not be of much meaningful reassurance to you; only time will tell whether you will be pleased with the final outcome/size of the breast surgery performed. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. Pictures without clothing are most helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "DD or E cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. The use of computer imaging technology may also be very helpful during this communication process. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery. I hope this, the attached link (dedicated to larger breast augmentation outcomes) helps.

Answer: Implant Selection Thank you for your question. It is much better to accurately discuss implant volume and projection with an in office exam and detailed measurements. In order to make an accurate size recommendation, I would need to assess your chest wall and breast mound measurements/characteristics. I use these measurements to help me during the sizing process to guide you to a safe result for your chest wall and just as important, one that meets your end desires. The next step is to try on this range of implants in the office with your doctor. The key to this success is showing your surgeon the body proportion you desire with a bra sizer and allowing your surgeon to guide you to the right implant. It will be much easier to communicate in implant cc's than cup size when determining the appropriate implant for you during the sizing process. In addition, review of photos and use of rice bags can be very helpful to the patient and surgeon in achieving a safe and happy result. Close intereaction and involvement from your surgeon during this process can help alleviate the anxiety and fears of choosing the right size. I wish you a safe recovery and fantastic result.Dr. Gill

Answer: BBA There is no way to guarantee a particular bra size. Bra sizing varies greatly between bra manufacturers and a C in one bra will be a D in another. What matters more than the assigned bra size is the way the implant looks on you. The best option for your body and aesthetic goals can be determined in a thorough implant sizing session.Implant sizing depends on several factors. One of the most important factors is your breast width. Generally, your surgeon will measure your breast width, and then provide you with a range of implant sizes appropriate for your native breast size. There are more nuances to it than just what I've described, but this approach works for most women.I usually have my patients bring in a large bra and a tight t-shirt to do sizing. I'll then choose 3-4 implants that I feel are appropriate, and have my patients place them in the bra under the tight t-shirt. My patients can then look in the mirror and get a good sense of what they will look like with the provided implant sizes. My patients like this approach and get a great idea of how they will look.By using this technique, your surgeon can outline a range of appropriate implant sizes that will be aesthetically pleasing, and you make the final decision.I hope this helps. Good luck!
