Hi poppyluv, Thank you for your question regarding a butt lift to remove excess skin (not BBL), and for providing your history and pictures. Considering your significant weight loss and two pregnancies, your skin has been stretched and has tried to bounce back. Overall, your skin has done a remarkable job. However, there is some laxity, especially in your buttocks. This butt laxity can only be corrected with a buttock lift. Some plastic surgeons refer to this procedure as a posterior body lift or a posterior buttock lift. Regardless of the name, an incision is placed at the top of each buttock, extending from one hip to your vertical buttock crease, and then across to the other hip. The incision and resulting scar resemble a flattened letter M or a seagull. During the procedure, a large elliptical area of skin and fat is removed from the upper third of the buttock. The buttocks are lifted, as illustrated in your last set of pictures. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately four hours to complete. Please plan for a three to four-week recovery. If you have a sitting job, plan to take off four weeks; if you have a standing job, plan to take off three weeks. Good luck. I hope I have answered your question regarding a buttock lift to remove excess buttock skin and some fat. Sincerely, J. Timothy Katzen, MD, FASMBS, FICS Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon
