Brown spots turned into raised black spots after IPL?

thank you for your question.  IPL treatment treats red vessels, hyperpigmentation and it improves the texture of your skin by producing collagen and elastin. you will pepper after the treatment and the dark spots will appear darker before they flake off. do not be alarmed.  This takes 2-4 days depending on your skin type and the intensity of the treatment.Always consult with a physician to make sure you are a good candidate.

Thank you for your question. Its normal for the brown spots to get darker and  even raised. It can take anywhere from 7-21 days for the pigment to then slough off. Depending on the depth of the pigment you may need a series of treatments until all the pigment is gone.

Thank you for your question. IPL is a treatment that is designed to target the red and brown pigment in the treated areas. Darkening of the brown pigment is a desired effect of the treatment. Over the next couple of days, the darkened areas may slough off. As stated previously, some of the lighter spots that you may have had may have become darker. Those spots, with repeated treatments, should get darker and slough off as well. Hopefully this helps!

IPL targets the pigments and blood vessels under the skin. It is a very normal reaction to experience a darkening of pigmentations after a session. Over the next few days your dark spots will fall off and some will get lighter.
